EasyTime

The development of EasyTime started in 2007, when there was no decent Time & Billing program for law offices using Apple computers; since the development of TimeSlips was discontinued.

We started with the input and feedback from lawyers from the MacLaw discussion group to development an easy to use yet powerful solution.

The software supports time billing & invoicing, document management and creation, and will be expanded into a full case management system. It runs natively on MacOS X (PPC/Intel) and does not require expensive 3rd party database packages (FileMaker etc.)

EasyTime version 2.0 (final beta) released

The final beta of EasyTime has been released. New features include: multiple invoice templates, ESCROW account, invoice history, improved client-server protocol with record locking, call-in clients with conflict catcher and other improvements and bug fixes.

To convert EasyTime v 1.x data, please run the DataConverter application. A new directory for EasyTime v 2 will be created, the EasyTime v 1.x data files are not modified. Like with all upgrades, please backup your data!

I have had the opportunity over the last few months to be using a great new legal specific time and billing program called EasyTime. EasyTime is being developed by Brightlight Software and it is wonderful. It is very easy to use and contains some great features. Adding clients to Easy Time can be done with its seamless integration with Apple's Address Book. You simply import the contact into Easy Time from Address Book. You can also manage other people involved in a case in Easy Time, such as opposing counsel, judges and clerks. Not only can you easily keep time and bill for that time in Easy Time. You can also print postage, email a party in a case and produce reports so you know where you stand in your billable time.

Easy Time is truly an easy and very user friendly way to manage your time and billing. Brightlight Software is also in the process of adding more new and great features to Easy Time so it will be a complete case management, document production and time and billing program for the law firm.
